Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-08-05
K-Bias has no sign-up or login. This page explains how we handle information when you use the website or app.
We don't collect personal information
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other information that identifies you. The app asks for location permission only when you stamp your visit at a fan spot; your location is used on your device solely to check the distance to the spot, and is never stored or transmitted. The web never asks for location access.
Your language choice and saved courses stay on your device
Your selected language, and any courses or trip dates you save in the app, are stored only on your own device (browser or app) — never sent to or kept on our servers. Deleting the app or clearing browser storage removes them.
Public data used to build courses
Courses are built from public tourism and transit data: the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea Meteorological Administration API, the ODsay transit API, and OpenStreetMap/Naver Maps (web) and the device's built-in maps (app). This data is public information not linked to any individual user. Intercity and express bus information from Seoul is open data from MOLIT (TAGO).
Map services
To display maps, we load map tiles from Naver Maps or OpenStreetMap, which may involve technical requests (such as the coordinates of the area shown on screen) to those map providers. These are routine requests needed to draw the map and do not include information that identifies you. In the app, we use the device's built-in maps (Apple Maps on iOS).
