In 2020 the SBS drama 'The King: Eternal Monarch' was filmed at Munsan Catholic Church in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. Founded in 1905 as Jinju's first church, it became the backdrop where Emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min-ho) visits with Jeong Tae-eul (Kim Go-eun).

    Built in 1905 as the first Catholic church in western Gyeongnam, it holds a hanok hall and a Western-style church building in the same yard. The scene in SBS's 2020 'The King: Eternal Monarch' where Lee Gon and Jeong Tae-eul come to take a photo together was shot in that yard. Mass is still held here, so time your visit around the services.
