A filming location for the 2004 war film 'Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War' by director Kang Je-gyu. The 500-year-old Oeam Folk Village, with its Joseon-era hanok houses and stone walls, has hosted many period and war films such as 'Chihwaseon' and 'The Classic.'

A village of 500-year-old stone walls and Joseon-era houses still lived in, which is why 2004's 'Taegukgi' used it instead of building a set. 'Chihwaseon', 'Malmoe' and 'Hero' were shot in the same lanes. Its night version is known too: the late-May night-walk event draws close to 100,000 people over three days.
