Yeongwol in Gangwon Province, a filming location for the 2006 film 'Radio Star' by director Lee Jun-ik. Starring Ahn Sung-ki and Park Joong-hoon, the former KBS Yeongwol broadcasting station has been remodeled into the Radio Star Museum, where visitors can trace the film's broadcasting scenes.

In Lee Joon-ik's 2006 'Radio Star', the station where the washed-up singer Choi Gon takes over as DJ is the old KBS Yeongwol broadcasting station, and this museum is that building reworked. Opened as a relay station in 1965 and shut in 2004, it still holds the station's actual equipment and booths. Visitors can produce a radio segment themselves, which amounts to sitting down inside the booth from the film.
