The set built on a former coal-mine site in 2016 to stand in for Uruk, the fictional deployment zone of KBS's 'Descendants of the Sun'. The Taebaek unit barracks, the collapsed power-plant building and the Medi Cube field hospital are still standing, and a military helicopter sits on the outdoor plaza. The raw terrain left by the mine is exactly what made Uruk look the way it did.
