In Lee Joon-ik's 2018 film 'Byeonsan', this peninsula is the hometown that the struggling rapper Hak-su walks out on and finally comes back to. Lee has shot four films in Buan — 'The King and the Clown', 'Blades of Blood' and 'The Throne' among them — so this coast runs through much of his work. The coastal road from Chaeseokgang through Mohang to Naesosa traces roughly the route the film travels.
